BARRINGTON Cricket Club has gained itself an unwanted record by hitting one of the lowest scores ever in a senior match.
The team, which plays in Division of the Best Western Shrubbery Hotel Somerset Cricket League, had restricted Huish and Langport 1sts to a total of 195-7 from their 45-over allocation.
But then it all went horribly wrong for Barrington when they were bowled out for just six....yes, you read correctly, they scored a total of just six runs.
Only openers Tim Towill and Steve Redwood, plus number seven Mark Jennings, got off the mark albeit for a combined total of four, with their other runs coming from extras.
Barrington were blown away by the fast bowling duo of Dominic Shillabeer who took seven wickets for just two runs and Steve Bown who took 3-3.
