THE Somerset County Sports sponsored Sunday Cricket League has announced its divisional set up for season 2014 recently and it will operate with a uniform structure next year with each competing side getting the same amount of cricket as others.

Uneven divisions had to be worked with in 2013, but the fifth season of the league’s operation will see three divisions of five in place.

Division A will feature Ashcott and Shapwick, Bagborough, Bridgwater, Wellington and Wembdon.

Division B will comprise Chard, Lympsham, North Curry, North Petherton and Taunton St Andrews.

Division C will feature Burnham-on-Sea, East Huntspill, Middlezoy, Street and Watchet.

Fixtures will start to be arranged from now as all competing clubs are in possession of the details of who they will be playing against.

The league’s AGM and Presentation Evening will be held at Taunton’s Wyvern Club on Friday, December 6, from 7.30pm.

Competing clubs are invited to submit their 2013 season’s averages from the games they played in the League as well as nominations for young player of the season with a view to winning one of the 12 SCS vouchers that Somerset County Sports managing director Richard Brice has donated to the winners.

There is one award for each of batting, bowling and young player per division for the four divisions that operated in 2013.
