CHARD Angling Club members fished a match on the reservoir on Sunday.
Despite conditions being fairly good it fished proved tough with only a handful of bream showing.
Match organiser Les Braunton won with two bream and skimmers for 15lb 12oz from peg 45 in the woods. Les fished the groundbait feeder at long range. Runner-up Dave Abrams found two bream late for 11lb 4oz and third-placed Mark Hollister had one decent bream plus bits for 7lb 12oz.
Round three of the Spring League is at Perry St Pond on Sunday, draw 9.30am.
Results – 1 Les Braunton (Chard Remains) 15lb 1oz, 2 Dave Abrams (Weymouth) 11lb 4oz, 3 Mark Hollister (Chard) 7lb 12oz. Section A: Mike Hosgood (Exeter) 7lb 6oz. Section B: Steve Osborne (Chard) 1lb 10oz. Section C: Dave Lawrence (Chard Raiders) 3lb 8oz.
