YOUNGSTER Megan Driskel has recently been selected to join the Somerset Emerging Players Program on the Somerset Cricket Pathway.
The 12-year-old is currently the youngest player on the program by some four years making her one of the youngest ever to be selected on the pathway.
Her father, Steven Driskel said: "Obviously as her parents we are immensely proud of our girl. Her inclusion in the Somerset EPP is a massive achievement on it's own.
"But at only 12 years of age, Megan is one of the youngest girls to ever been selected for this program."
Somerset Cricket has a clear programme in place to develop Somerset Cricketers to go on and represent Western Storm at EPP and Academy level.
Megan is also currently in the Somerset training squads for both hockey and tennis which keeps her really busy with what she loves most, her sports.
Steven added: "We are very proud of our Megan and would like to thank everyone who has supported her, and are still supporting her.
"Special mention must go to Taunton School where Megan as excelled since she was given her Sports Scholarship and Millichamp and Hall for all the support in supplying Megan with state of the art cricket gear."
