ILMINSTER Cricket Club wrapped up their 2023 season with a loss away at Downend CC at the weekend.
The match in the WEPL Premier Two saw Downend run out the win by a margin of seven wickets.
After the season has concluded, Ilminster finish in fifth place in the league table.
Ilminster won the toss and chose to bat first in the match and they struggled to really gain momentum in the innings.
Jon Hurford top scored with 20 runs as the away side was all out for just 80 runs after 18.2 overs.
Matthew Jackson took five wickets for Downend as he and the home sides bowling attack was on top form.
Downend chased down the target in just 15.3 overs for loss of just three wickets.
Sam Grinter did take all three of those wickets though as the bowler looked good in his spell.
