Chard Hockey Ladies First 1-3 Bridgwater Hockey Seconds
All the action took place in the first half of this game, with Chard starting slow, giving Bridgwater the upper hand.
Bridgwater took the lead in the 8th minute and doubled their lead 10 mins later.
Chard completed some excellent passing play, as encouraged by coaches Danny and Nathan, but were unable to convert this play into a goal.
Bridgwater again extended their lead in the 25th minute, with an excellent strike, giving Hannah McGown no attempt to save it.
Before half time, Chard clawed one back, as a result of a J run from Amy Goss, whose cross found Sasha Taylor to poke the ball over the line.
The second half saw Chard place more pressure on the Bridgwater defence and despite a series of short corners, could not convert these into a goal which left the scores at 1-3.
