AT Chard there were two close and tense games in the Milford and Dormor league.
Harlequins only managed to win five of the 14 ends against Royals but still managed to draw 10-10.
Harlequins currently top the league but Royals have a game in hand so they still have a chance of winning the league. The other game saw Magpies against Hurricanes.
Nearly every end need a measure to determine the shot count and going into the last end the match was poised at 12-12.
Magpies were holding the one shot they required to win with the last bowl left to them.
The skip, in hindsight, would just have taken this and the match.
He sportingly decided to bowl but certainly did not intend going anywhere near the head.
Unfortunately things did not go as planned and his last bowl gave the shot to Hurricanes who won 13-12.
