SOMERSET'S Nick Compton has just been bowled for nine in his debut Test innings.

Compton was bowled through the 'gate' by off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin who took the new ball.

Compton was quickly followed back to the hutch by nightwatchman Jimmy Anderson (2) and Jonathan Trott (0).

England, looking to play out the final overs of day two, collapsed to 30-3 in reply to India's 521-8.
