ALMOST £350 has been raised by a school near Crewkerne to help fight breast cancer.
Children at West Chinnock School took part in Wear it Pink Day on October 21 to raise money for the Breast Cancer Now Charity.
Kelly Hodges of West Chinnock School said: “The children all donated £1 to wear pink or non-uniform. The local community came in to school to support a coffee morning and it was great to see so many people visiting the school.
“The weekly cake raffle money was also donated to this worthy cause. A brilliant £349 was raised.”
This total could be set to rise with some money still being counted from the cake sale.
