A LARGE shed has been destroyed and a man treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in Martock.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue service were called at around 12.30pm to Steppes Crescent after a large shed was reportedly on fire close to a property.
Fire engines from Martock, Yeovil and Somerton were sent to the scene.
On arrival, the officer in charge confirmed smoke and flames were coming from the shed.
Crews wore breathing apparatus and used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
An ambulance was requested to treat a man who had suffered smoke inhalation and fire crews administered oxygen therapy.
The shed was completely destroyed by fire. Fire crews ventilated the nearby property to ensure it was clear of smoke.
