STAFF at Burnworthy House in South Petherton were this week honouring staff with a combined service of 95 years.

Members of the team at the care home in South Street, South Petherton celebrated some staff member's long service and commitment with an event last week.

A combined total of 95 years long service was celebrated at the care home, with staff being presented with certificates and enjoying an afternoon tea.

One staff member, Karen Brown, was presented with a bouquet of flowers and gift after she achieved 25 years service with Somerset Care.

Staff were joined by operations manager, Sue Harvey, and Jackie Howells who will be taking over as manager at the South Petherton care home on December 1.

Somerset Care is one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare providers in Southern England.
