A 16-YEAR-OLD from Seavington St Mary is about to start his 2024 campaign in the Milltek Sport Honda Civic Cup.

Harry England has always loved motorsport, and in the summer of 2021, he had his dream opportunity of a half-day track day at Mallory Park Circuit in Leicestershire.

Prior to that, Harry had never set foot in a car, and he is now determined to make a name for himself in motorsport.

He attends the Motorsport Extended Diploma Course at Bridgwater College.

He got on so well that his instructor suggested he take his Association of Racing Driver Schools (ARDS) licence.

Within a month, Harry took his test and passed with flying colours on his first attempt.

His test instructor was so impressed with his natural ability that he suggested Harry consider racing in a Junior Formulae.

Harry’s family said: “As a family, we came together to try and help Harry pursue his dreams.

"In 2022, having never driven competitively, Harry contested the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship.

“That year, Harry won the inaugural Mk 7 Fiesta Junior Championship. “The championship was contested over seven rounds at National racing circuits, including Brands Hatch and Cadwell Park.

“Having turned 16, Harry has now obtained his senior ARDS licence and this year will be stepping up to racing in the 2024 Milltek Sport Honda Civic Cup.

“This is a feeder championship to the prestigious Touring Car Championship (TCR).

“Harry is really excited about the challenge of a new formula, with twice the horsepower that he is used to.

“He is also looking forward to having the opportunity to finally race locally this season since one of the rounds will be contested at Thruxton.

“To complement his racing, Harry is thoroughly enjoying his course at Bridgwater College, which is giving him both the mechanical understanding to assist his race car setup and maintenance and repair, but also the opportunity to learn more about the technical and administrative organisation of the motorsport industry.”
