SHE started off as a Saturday girl at Cottage Flowers in 2004 at just 14, and since then team member Jacalyn Arscott has thrived.

Jacalyn started out helping in the shop and setting up weddings with Angie and Brenda, then went on to do part-time work during school.

She became a full time member of the team after completing Level 2 and Level 3 at Cannington College, and has now spoken of her pride following her results.

In February 2016, she qualified with distinction at Academy of Floral Art, Exeter, with her Higher Diploma Level 4.

She said: “I love working in Ilminster, it’s such a friendly town and couldn’t imagine working with anyone other than the Cottage Flower girls – every day is different and every week brings a new and exciting creative project.

“After spending the last year designing and creating for my own wedding, I am looking forward to another busy year with Cottage Flowers.”
