AN Ilminster man facing charges accused of allegations of assault and harassment on his wife has had the case against him thrown out.
Karl Adrian Green, 37, of Fairfield, was charged with the two offences said to have taken place at Ilminster on April 8.
It was He is alleged to have he assaulted his wife by beating her.
And that he pursued a course of conduct amounting to the harassment of the same victim in that he sent her text messages that were of a threatening and distressing content.
The defendant was due to appear before Somerset Magistrates in Yeovil to enter pleas.
But when it was put before the court at Yeovil a second time the Bench was told that both matters had now been discontinued by the Crown Prosecution Service.
No further action will be taken in relation to the alleged incidents.
