Peace group to hold next meeting in Ilminster
SOUTH Somerset Peace Group holds its next meeting in Ilminster on Tuesday.
Father Basil Postlethwaite, priest of the parish of The English Martyrs in Chard, will talk about his years in El Salvador during the country’s civil war.
He will give a first-hand account of intervening between the guerillas and government soldiers, and explore how what he calls the ‘organic’ peace process worked.
The meeting is at 7.30pm in the Minster Rooms. Everyone is welcome and an entry fee of £3 will include tea or coffee.
