Fire fighters were called out to a chimney fire in Crewkerne on Sunday afternoon.
One engine from Crewkerne was sent to the property on Station Road shortly after 3.30pm.
A fire service spokesman said; "On arrival of the fire engine, the officer in charge confirmed there was a fire confined to the chimney.
"Crews used chimney rods to tackle the fire from the hearth and checked the walls and roof dpace with a thermal imaging camera before leaving the scene safe."
