PLANS have been submitted to turn a former Chard pub into a home.
The Ship Inn, in Furnham Road, closed last month due to the pressures of the economic downturn.
Now, proprietor Darryl Norman, who had run the Ship Inn with wife Jeanette, for the past seven years, has applied to South Somerset District Council for planning permission to convert the pub into a house.
