A BIRD hide at a reservoir will now be open at weekends.
The facility at Chard Reservoir will now be open seven days a week thanks to the work of a volunteer.
A spokesperson for the reservoir said: “The bird hide at Chard Res will now be open at weekends, thanks to a local volunteer willing to open and close it for all to enjoy seven days a week.
“Opening times may vary, but it should be open from the morning until dusk.”
Chard Reservoir is a local nature reserve on the Eastern side of Chard, Somerset.
It is a disused reservoir from the 1840s that is now a setting for the LNR as well as a fishing body for Chard Angling Club.
