THE British Motor Show is bringing some of their biggest and best motorsports toys to Haynes Motor Museum in Sparkford in Somerset for families to enjoy this May half term.
Kids big and small will get the chance to race with a super-sized Scalextrix and try out Sega Rally simulators at the award winning Somerset museum.
Kids can also learn about cars by getting to build and race remote controlled cars.
Visitor Experience & Volunteers Manager, Jon Ducker, said: “Our staff and volunteer team are eager to hop on the simulator to see who's fastest before we show off some of the Museum's stars in our outdoor vehicle displays.
“From the supersize Scalextric to the British Motor Show’s 5 litre V8 Mustang to cars coming alive, it's the perfect week to get the family together and motor down to Haynes Motor Museum.”
The museum has over 300 cars spread over 15 exhibition areas, spanning everything from the birth of motoring to modern supercars as well as Nigel Mansell’s iconic Williams F1 race car.
The half term week also marks when some of the museum cars on display will start their engines and be driven around the grounds, including the British Motor Show Mustang.
The ‘Big Kids Toys Week’ is running at the Haynes Motor Museum from 27 May to 2 June.
All activities over the week are included with a Museum entry ticket.
