POLICE have seized an abandoned vehicle after investigating the circumstances behind of its being left in the Chard area.
Officers and PCSOs from Chard Neighbourhood Policing were sent to check out the vehicle.
And after checking it out they discovered it had been using false plates.
The officers also found out that it had no insurance or road tax.
A spokesperson for South Somerset Neighbourhood Policing said: "Officers and PCSOs from the Chard Neighbourhood Policing team have dealt with and recovered an abandoned vehicle.
"After investigating the circumstances as to why the vehicle had been left abandoned, officers were able to verify the vehicle had been using cloned plates.
"Due to this further checks were then conducted, revealing the vehicle to have no valid insurance or tax."
