TO say it’s been an action packed Summer and Autumn at Chard Wheelers would be an understatement.

Top Summer honours has to go to Michael Austin who in July took bronze in his age group race at the National Masters Championship.

After the race, Michael said: “The Race split early on and I found myself in the front group, but got dropped on another climb and ended up doing 20 miles on my own.

"The Chasers did not catch me, so ended up 3rd as two in my age group were out front. Really pleased with my effort.”

Chard Wheelers are now a major player in the South West Cyclocross league.
