A TWENTY-ONE-YEAR-OLD man accused of carrying out four assaults and another offence of criminal damage at Chard has denied all the allegations against him.
Tomas Gabriel Couceiro Ferreira, of Edmund Street, Shaw, Oldham, appeared before Somerset Magistrates, sitting at Yeovil.
He was charged with two counts of assaulting Daniela Afonso by beating her on August 23 and 25.
He was also alleged to have assaulted Andre Martins and Carla Pereira by beating them during the incident on August 25.
A further allegation that he damaged a wall in a property belonging to Ms Afonso on August 23 was also alleged.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to all five offences and following a review of the case they were all adjourned until January 15 when Ferreira was ordered to return to the court for a trial to take place.
Until then he was released on unconditional bail.
