CHARD Reservoir is one of three South Somerset sites to achieve the prestigious Green Flag award.
Yeovil Country Park and Ham Hill Country Park were also recognised in this year’s awards.
The Green Flag award, now in its third decade, is a sign to the public that the space boasts the highest possible environmental standards, is well maintained and has excellent visitor facilities.
Councillor Sylvia Seal, South Somerset’s portfolio holder for the countryside, said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive a Green Flag award for our three countryside sites in South Somerset.
"We know how much quality green spaces matter to residents and visitors, and this award celebrates the dedication that goes into maintaining the sites to such a high standard.”
