CHARD'S town team is getting into the Easter spirit with an egg and bunny hunt throughout the town centre.

The event will start tomorrow (April 8) and run until April 15.

Garry Shortland, chairman of the Chard Town Team, said: "Chard Town Team in conjunction with Chard traders are running a hunt the bunny event... at which there is a free children's craft event in the Guildhall on the morning of April 15.

"This will be a limited opportunity for families with children up to 11 years of age to hunt around Chard shops for a hidden bunny.

"Each entrant who finds at least 20 eggs will receive an Easter egg. if they fin more than 20 bunnies they will be entered into a draw on returning their entry form to the Guildhall.

"The offer is open to 100 families / children.

"Entry forms will be available from the Guildhall during the period or until the 100 forms are taken.

"Traders taking part will be displaying a post saying they are.

"I am amazed at the number of traders in Chard who have agreed to take part and hope this is a partnership which will continue to grow throughout 2017."
