CHARD Carnival and Chard Childrens Carnival proved to be a hit this weekend with hundreds of people turning out to be blown away by the town's colourful entertainment.
The carnival is in it's 49th year and has raised more than £100,000 for local charities and organisations, including Chard Christmas Lights, Children’s Hospice South West, Chard Hospital, Chard rugby club, brownies, scouts and local schools.
There was plenty of entertainment and colourful displays to see at this years carnival.
