A MAN accused of eight historic indecent assaults in Chard will face trial at the start of next year.
David Lambert, 68, of Jays Field, Neath, West Glamorgan, denies four charges against a girl aged under 16 between July 1, 1999, and August 31 the same year.
He also pleaded not guilty to four charges involving a female aged over 16 during the same period.
Mr Lambert was released on conditional bail when he appeared before Judge David Ticehurst at Taunton Crown Court on Monday.
He was ordered to report back to the court for his trial starting on January 3, 2017, which is due to last between three and four days.
