THE Cartgate Link Road is expected to be closed for some time tonight both ways following an earlier crash involving four vehicle.
One person was flown to a hospital in Bristol following the crash, and three other people were taken to Yeovil Hospital.
Four vehicles were involved in the incident, which happened at around 1.30pm on the A3088 Cartgate Link Road between the roundabout and Brunford Lane in Yeovil.
Recovery of the vehicles is underway but the road is expected to be closed for some time for investigation work.
On arrival, fire crews confirmed there was a four vehicle road traffic collision with three people trapped in two of the vehicles.
Police, ambulance and air ambulance all attended.
Fire crews had to use hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of one of the vehicles.
An environmental pack was in use for a fuel spillage.
