A YELLOW weather warning is in place for Chard and Ilminster this evening running into tomorrow morning.

The area is set to get wet with overcast conditions due all day before rain this evening.

In their South West summary, Met Office said: "It'll be a grey start with patchy rain. It will dry up for most into the afternoon with some brightness developing.

"A windy day with gales along the coast and over high ground in particular."

The maximum temperature is set to reach around 12°C, before falling to a minimum of 5°C overnight.

Tomorrow's forecast said: "After a damp start Saturday will be mostly dry with some sunshine.

"The winds will strengthen, perhaps with an odd shower along the coast around midday."

The temperature is set to peak at 8°C.
