STUDENTS at Holyrood Academy in Chard were last week celebrating the release of the 2015 A Level results.
At A2 Level an impressive 98% of all exams taken were passed. This included 36% of the grades being at a B or above and 12% being at A or A*.
Holyrood principal, Martin Brook, was delighted with the results and said: “The overall pass rate is very pleasing but we are particular pleased with the high number of students gaining the highest grades.
“This means that many of them will have achieved their first choice university placement where I am sure they will go on to achieve great things.
“The students are proud of their achievements and rightly so and I would like to thank on their behalf the Holyrood teaching staff who have worked their socks off this year to help them get their just rewards.”
There were a number of notable individual successes including Tom Lewis who gained one A* and two A grades, Georgia Caird and Natasha Lovell who both gained an A*, an A and a B.
Ryan Cox achieved two As and a B, while twins Rebecca and Samantha Knight gained an A*, an A and B and an A*, an A and a D respectively.
