THREE fire engines were called out to a fire at a factory in Furnham Road, Chard this morning, (December 29).
Two engines from Chard and one from Ilminster were sent to reports of smoke in the plant room of a factory just after 5am.
The fire involved a refrigeration compressor, and sustained 50% heat damage.
There was also light smoke damage to the first and second floor of the factory.
Fire crews used fans and breathing equipment to deal with the incident and the cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
