THE interim head teacher at Manor Court Primary School in Chard is hoping to carry on the “excellent work” of her predecessor.
Sarah Wellman retired from the head teacher’s job when the school broke up for the Christmas holidays, and her interim replacement, Maggie Coath, is confident that the transfer will be “seamless”.
“I’ll be doing my utmost to make sure that the children’s learning isn’t interrupted and that the school continues to run smoothly during this process,” she said.
It is hoped that Manor Court Primary School will switch to Academy status in April.
