AROUND £800 was raised on Saturday for local groups at the Mayor of Chard's charity dinner and dance.
Cllr Cathie Morrison held the event at the Lordleaze Hotel with proceeds going to the Girl Guiding and Scouting Associations of Chard and the Chard and Tatworth First Responders.
