AN auction of promises and a May supper at Donyatt village hall on Friday, May 6, will raise money for the hall improvement fund.
A similar auction in 2009 raised over £1,000 for the hall and organisers are hoping this year's event will be even better.
Spokesman Phil King said: "Despite these difficult times we hope to raise even more, but we'd like to add to the variety of promises.
"To do this we need the help of people - your imagination is the limit! All offers are welcome, from baking a cake to donating books."
The 2009 event saw a wide variety of promises, including weekend breaks in Devon, Cornwall and France, wine tasting evenings, ironing and chainsawing services, as well as a wide variety of customer goods.
The evening starts at 7pm with a two-course meal and costs £8 per person to include an auction catalogue.
Anyone is invited to the auction only from 8.30pm when catalogues are available for £1.
