A CHRISTMAS tree festival at Chard Baptist Church in Holyrood Street, Chard, closes later today (Wednesday).
The church is decorated with 15 colourful trees which have been sponsored by the Children’s Hospice South West, St Margaret’s Hospice, Operation Christmas Child, Chard and Ilminster Art Group for the Disabled, Tools with a Mission, Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Avishayes School’s|Let’s Get Cooking Club, Macmillan Cancer Support, Help for Heroes, Chard WI, Have a Heart Appeal, Manor Court Primary School, Messy Church, Chard Methodist Pre-School and the Project Romania organisation.
All donations will be split between the participating groups and there will be special prizes for the trees which have proved the most popular with visitors.
