Chard Carnival update and pictures
DISAPPOINTMENT was the result for thousands of Carnival fans in Chard on Saturday night after the procession had to be abandoned.
It is thought that a power cable was pulled out by one of the floats, which then landed on the Motiv8 float from Yeovil.
All results from the judging have been declared null and void.
Before the procession had to be called off, News photographer Geoff Hall had been busy taking pictures and so we will be bringing you all the photos in next week's News.
