Mayor awards garden winners
AWARDS have been presented by the Mayor of Chard, Cllr Jill Shortland, in connection with the Chard 2000 gardens competition.
First prize winners were Graham Knight in the large garden category, Barbara Blackburn in the small garden class, Gretha Hall in the patio garden section and David Clarke in the vegetable garden category.
The awards were presented by the Mayor at Chard Garden Centre, and the group includes all certificate winners along with Chard 2000 chairman Dave Hill and Mayor’s consort Cllr Gary Shortland.
