I READ with great sympathy the article where Susan Rodford reported that her daughter's cat had been left for dead after being knocked down. This had also happened to my much loved cat, some years ago.
However sympathy changed to shock and horror when Mrs Rodford informed us that this was the fourth cat that her daughter had lost this way, all before their first birthday.
Is this woman completely heartless and lacking in responsibility in condemning these animals to such a horrific death? If she has any cats left can I plead with her to find them a safe and loving home where they will have a chance of long life and to never, never have another cat while still living on that unsafe stretch of road.
