AN elderly driver was caught speeding at the same location THREE times in ONE WEEK.
Andrew Rockett, 75, of New Cross Court, South Petherton, pleaded guilty at Taunton Magistrates' Court yesterday (Wednesday, February 8) to breaking the 30mph limit on each occasion on the A358 in Henlade, near the Lipe Lane/Stoke Road junction.
On March 28 last year he was clocked at 41mph; then on April 2 he was recorded travelling at 43mph; finally Rockett was caught doing 43mph again the following day (April 3).
He was fined a total of £600 and ordered to pay £135 costs and £60 towards prosecution costs - a total bill of £795.
Rockett also received nine penalty points on his driving licence and is disqualified until he passes his test again.
