THE A358 will be closed overnight tonight (Tuesday, September 13) and tomorrow between Taunton and Ilminster.
The road will be closed between 8pm and 6am – a duration of 10 hours – on each night.
A spokesperson for Travel Somerset, the county council's roads information service, said: “The A358 Taunton to Ilminster will be closed overnight (8pm to 6am) tonight and tomorrow for stud and lining works.”
Road markings and studs are used to define lanes and convey other important information to road users.
The closure was announced on Travel Somerset's Twitter feed shortly after 6pm.
Other scheduled roadworks in the region can be viewed on the service's website.
The A358 is a mostly single-lane road connecting Williton, West Somerset, to Ilminster via the county town.
Upgrade works are underway between Taunton and Southfields, with 8.5 miles of the A358 set to become a dual carriageway through upgrade works.
Last week, a stretch of the A358 was closed overnight near Bishops Lydeard after a mudslide – the second within a month.
