FIREFIGHTERS from Crewkerne rushed to a recycling centre near Yeovil after a skip containing metal and aerosols caught fire.
One fire engine and a water carrier from Yeovil and one crew from Crewkerne went to Artillery Road in Brympton near Yeovil
When they arrived crews confirmed there was a 40 yard long skip containing metal and aerosols well alight.
They got to work quickly using two attack jets and an onsite mechanical digger.
They extinguished the fire that destroyed the contents of the skip.
They also used a thermal imaging camera to ensure the area was safe.
