A WOMAN has died in an apparent hit and run incident in the early hours of this morning (Saturday).
Police were called to the incident in Burnham Road, Highbridge, at around 2.20am.
The victim was in a collision with a vehicle, which police say failed to stop.
A man has since been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in custody.
The road remains closed while officers carry out investigations.
