Police phones and computers down - check how this impacts 999 and 101 calls
AN owl has been blamed for police phone and computer problems today.
The bird flew into an electricity sub station and took out the power supply - by accident of course.
*AVON and Somerset Police are currently experiencing computer and phone problems.
The issue is affecting the force's ability to respond to calls.
Neighbouring forces are helping field 999 calls, but people are asked to only dial the number in real emergencies.
101 calls are affected.
Engineers are working to rectify the problem.
