BIKE shops and second-hand shops in the Chard area are being asked to be vigilant after a BMX was stolen.
The bike, which has a white frame with light blue writing on and distinctive baby blue handlebars and a seat, was taken on December 12 from the Dolling Close area.
A moped was also taken at the same time, which has since been recovered.
Avon and Somerset Police say they believe two men took the bike, and it is thought they used a footpath in Jarman Way.
A spokesperson for the police said: "We’d like to hear from anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously overnight in the Dolling Close area, particularly if they had a moped and BMX bike.
"We are urging local bike shops and second-hand shops to be vigilant and report if they have been offered a bike matching the description."
