I WOULD very much like to thank all of those in the villages of Ashill, Broadway, Donyatt and Horton who turned out on election day to show their support for me.
I am especially pleased that we had one of the highest turnouts at 77.79% and I am thrilled that after repre - senting Neroche ward as their district councillor for the last 12 years that local residents feel I have done a good enough job to continue.
I would not have been able to do my job without the support and cooperation of others in these four villages who tirelessly, and without pay, put themselves forward to play an active part in keeping their community alive and thriving when faced with some challenging economic and social issues.
I may not always get it right but I will promise to keep trying, and continue to offer my services and advice to all of those who need it, every day of the year.
I firmly believe in being involved in all of the many great activities that take place, and that make the area such a great place to live, and I really do enjoy quiz nights, jumble sales, theatre performances, community meals, flower shows and even duck races.
