IN view of the latest spate of shop closures in Chard, many local retailers are blaming the competition from Tesco and internet shopping in particular.
Retailers please note, there is one major factor that SHOULD beat internet competitors and that is pleasant, personal, friendly and helpful service with a smile in our Chard shops. Sadly, this doesn’t happen here, but other towns manage it really well.
