n MAY I suggest a quick and easy way to improve the environment in Ilminster – car and bus drivers switching off when stationary.
People waiting at the Market House frequently have to put up with harmful fumes from buses sitting there with their engines idling, polluting the atmosphere and wasting fuel.
Parents and carers arrive by car to collect their children and sit in their vehicles – again with engines running – creating a toxic atmosphere right outside the school.
Crazy or what? And it is not just in cold weather, this happens all year round.
