Your Letters: Election call
I WOULD fully endorse the sentiments expressed by Mrs Farley (Postbag, February 4) concerning the need for sufficient candidates – well over 15 – to stand for election to the town council on May 7, both to ensure a ballot and to give electors some reasonable degree of choice.
It is interesting to note that the current council is composed of six councillors who were co-opted, seven councillors who were elected unopposed and only two elected in a ballot.
It is time to stand up and be counted.
