SHOPPERS are being asked to hand over handbags for a charity initiative at Clarks Village this month.
British leather company Osprey London is inviting people to donate new or gently used bags in store throughout September to raise funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The fourth annual handbag amnesty allows the charity to collect and sell on unwanted items to generate money.
Running until September 30, organisers say they are hoping to see a record response and as an added incentive, anyone who donates will receive a 20% discount voucher towards a new Ospery London bag.
Lucy Graham, marketing manager at Clarks Village, said: “We need shoppers to donate any good quality handbags they no longer use.
“Whether they’re last season’s must haves or a colour you no longer like, one woman’s trash is another’s treasure.
“Please bring any handbags in store to Osprey London.” For more information, visit the Clarks Village website.
