WOMEN wanting to start up in business using superfast broadband will be given a helping hand by Connecting Devon and Somerset.
The organisation has won £75,000 for a fund due to start in September, supporting women in rural areas who are looking to start their own businesses or grow existing ones.
The money will be used to equip them with the latest digital skills they need to succeed.
Business clubs offering peer to peer support, mentoring, digital clinics, networking opportunities and events will be some of the activities available.
CDS will deliver these activities in conjunction with its ‘Get Up to Speed’ programme, which delivers business and community support to maximise the use of superfast broadband alongside the infrastructure roll-out.
