POLICE in Chard are trying to solve the mystery of six five-metre chains they discovered.
PC Paul Thomas said the ½-inch deep and 1-inch wide chains were possibly stolen from an industrial unit, although they have been unable to trace the owner.
They look like extra large bike chains, are marked TYC and would be used on machinery.
They were found in a black Dunlop carry case.
